Startec Global Communications Launches New Website

ROCKVILLE, MD, August 10th, 2006 – Startec Global Communications today announced the launch of their completely redesigned website to support customers in the United States.  The new website features single page signup, full featured account management and comprehensive product information and customer service.

Howard Kamerer, Startec's CEO, said, "This website represents an important milestone for Startec, as we significantly improve our capability to acquire as well as serve customers using the Internet.  Startec is a customer driven company and our research indicates that several of the multicultural markets that we serve have Internet usage significantly above national averages.  We also plan to extend these capabilities to the Canadian market in the near future."

Mr. Kamerer added, "A key differentiator for Startec will be the breadth and depth of our multilingual support. Our plan is to roll out versions of the website in over 6 different languages, thus helping to better serve our customers."

Startec Website Capabilities

  • Single Page Signup – With the launch of the new site, Startec has made the online signup process as simple and straightforward as possible.
  • My Account Section – The updated site brings with it an updated "My Account" section which allows Startec's customers to manage their information, billing preferences, payments, invoices and specific product features. All of the information is cleanly laid out and easy to navigate.
  • New Customer Service and Help Section – One of the most important new areas of Startec's website is the Help section. Startec now offers comprehensive Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for all of its products and services as well as for its billing and customer service functions. In addition, Startec will rollout short instructional flash videos on how to use its products, thus giving customers a breadth of options and solutions.
